Yoga Adhitrisna graduated from Faculty of Social and Politics University of Indonesia, Depok, majoring in Mass Communication. In college, he was actively involved in journalism, however, he later chose a career as an Advertising Copywriter instead. His writings have appeared in campus tabloids, magazines, newspapers, radio plays, animation films, indie rap lyrics, advertising creative books, comic books, and of course, 360° advertising. Yoga started his career as a Junior Copywriter at CabeRawit Communication. His career was rising at McCann-Erickson Indonesia and became a Creative Group Head handling various brands from local and multinational companies. Until 2008, Yoga and his creative team decided to form their own agency, Berakar Komunikasi. Berakar Komunikasi has a wide array of experience in handling integrated campaigns both offline and online for industry-leading brands in Indonesia. In the 2019 Presidential Election, Berakar created Karya adalah Doa (Creation is Prayer), a creative movement to mobilize Jokowi’s supporters by creating a campaign through artworks depicting Indonesia’s glorious futures. This campaign won top awards in Citra Pariwara 2019, Smarties MMA 2019, Dragons Award 2019, and along with others Berakar’s portfolios, have contributed to Berakar’s sweep out at Marketing Interactive’s Agency of The Year Award 2019; granted Berakar as Overall Local Heroes of The Year, Social Media Agency of The Year, and runner up for Overall Agency of The Year. It kept Berakar's tradition of winning awards every year and cementing them as the top performing local agency. During the pandemic, Berakar has proven itself that they have been deep-rooted in the industry. While they have been working from home, everything else is business as usual. They won pitches, lost pitches, won awards, and didn't need to lose any employees from any layoff. This hard time doesn’t stop Berakar to engrave their name as a productive creative powerhouse.
