Wei Fen Lee is a cultural anthropologist and semiotician who leads the Culture division in Quantum Singapore. She uses cultural and visual semiotics in combination with ethnography to decode the meanings and manifestations of human lived experiences, with a focus on East and Southeast Asia.

She takes great pleasure in journeying from research to application, especially through uncovering and translating cultural insights into brand strategy, brand communications, and innovations for companies such as Unilever, Lego and Friesland Campina.

Wei Fen trained in South Asian Studies, English Literature, and Anthropology and holds an M.Phil from the National University of Singapore. She is also a storyteller and writer, and has extensive editorial and writing experience, from editing literary anthologies, to writing for publications such as Esquire, Business Times, Tabla!, amongst others.
