

Vivek leads Abbott’s Corporate Global Marketing team. He and his team lead creative strategy and marketing efforts for the corporate brand. They are also responsible for Abbott’s brand identity and demonstrating Abbott’s purpose in action through partnerships and sponsorships such as Real Madrid and the Abbott World Marathon Majors.
Vivek has been with Abbott for 30 years. He started his career as a scientist in the US and has held various leadership roles around the world, including in the UK and the Middle East. He ran Abbott’s operations in India and in Indonesia as the general manager for these countries.
Vivek serves as a mentor for aspiring general managers and key talent, is an executive sponsor for Abbott’s Asian Leadership and Culture Network, and teaches MBA courses in leadership and strategy. He has an MBA in International Business from the University of Illinois and a B.Sc. in Microbiology from the University of Michigan
