Dr Tran Viet Huan (Ph.D. in Computer Science) is the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) of SonKim Group and SonKim Retail. Dr Huan is responsible for the digital transformation strategy and IT strategy development and implementation of the corporation and all member companies. He is also responsible for building cooperation programs with partners in developing an open ecosystem towards providing comprehensive services to consumers.

Besides, he is the Vice President of the CIO Vietnam Community - the largest IT leadership community in Vietnam, aiming to promote the sharing of knowledge, experience and nurturing the next generations of IT leaders.

Before joining SonKim Retail, Dr Huan had a career of 11 years with IBM where he involved in IT strategy consultation and the development of enterprise architecture for many customers in numerous areas including government, banking, telecommunications, and retail. He was one of the first pioneers in cloud computing development in Asia and Vietnam since 2007. He spent two years working at BPI, the top bank in the Philippines, as the Chief Architect of IBM. He led more than 200 IBM experts and specialists working at BPI.

After that, Mr. Huan joined Microsoft Asia Pacific's digital advisory services with a focus on building a digital transformation strategy for regional and Vietnamese customers. With the experience accumulated from his time working at multinational corporations like IBM and Microsoft, he decided to contribute more to building local corporations and became the chief IT architect of Vingroup corporation, with the responsibility to building IT strategy and digital transformation for its members such as Vinpearl, VinCommerce, Vinsmart, etc. He was also the Deputy General Director of Vinfast, who was responsible for building the IT system for the first car factory in Vietnam with an end-to-end automated process from design, production, sales, and car maintenance, along with applying new technologies such as AI, IoT, Connected Vehicle to the car manufacturing industry.

Up to now, Mr. Huan has been able to impress not only his colleagues but also his customers with his in-depth knowledge in many fields such as banking, telecommunications, retail and public services, and interdisciplinary capabilities. Mr. Huan is always admired for his great experience and unmatched knowledge of cloud technologies, along with his ability to quickly adapt and succeed in difficult and competitive market conditions.
