Michael Hartono is first and foremost a marketer and brand builder. In his current role – a role he has had since 2011 – as Marketing Communications , CBI & Digital Director with Rekso Nasional Food, McDonald's Indonesia Developmental Licensee, his vision is to be able to further build the McDonald’s brand as the consumer’s preferred brand in Indonesia by elevating its brand value for the key stake holders and making the brand promises come to life. Strategic Planning, Menu Development, Media Relations, Advertising Campaign Development and other marketing related aspects are part of his day to day, which he does with utmost drive and passion. His past life includes waiting tables at a restaurant, working for a Bank, a short history with a dot com company, and most significantly 14 years with leading advertising agency Ogilvy and Mather, where his last role was General Manager overseeing big companies and brands such as Nestle, Unilever, Toshiba, Indonesia’s leading brand such as Sampoerna A Mild, Konimex Phama, etc. Michael is also a devoted husband and loving father of 2 gorgeous children, Matthew (12) and Mikaela (8), and in his spare time - or what's left of it - he enjoys deep sea fishing, watch movies, and is a self-taught occasional golfer.
