

Laura Rathai is the Vice President of Marketing at Hyundai Motor Europe, a role she assumed in October 2024 after serving as Marketing Director since 2021. In her current position, she oversees Hyundai’s Marketing across European markets, with a core focus on building the brand, enhancing performance and driving digital transformation. Her leadership has been instrumental in driving impactful pan-European initiatives and innovative strategies that boost consumer engagement and elevate brand visibility, including the launch of the Hyundai INSTER, a model aimed at younger audiences with bold and forward-thinking initiatives.
Prior to these roles, Laura was Head of Marketing Communications and Brand at Hyundai Motor Europe, where she spearheaded strategic branding initiatives that strengthened Hyundai’s presence across the region. Her journey with Hyundai began at Hyundai Motor Germany, where she led the Marketing Communications and Customer Experience department, focusing on customer engagement and enhancing the brand’s position within the German market.
Laura’s marketing career also includes experience at Lufthansa and global agencies such as McCann Erickson, Wunderman, and Serviceplan. This diverse background across both corporate and agency environments has given her a unique perspective on developing successful, customer-centric strategies initiatives.
With her extensive experience in marketing and a track record of delivering innovative and sustainable marketing initiatives, Laura continues to shape Hyundai’s marketing strategy, always focused on driving innovation and fostering stronger connections with customers.
