Given her passion for analytics combined with creativity and superlative communication skills, Kavi took a U turn and joined marketing after having completed two first class Chemistry special degrees from University of Colombo and Institute of Chemistry. She started off her career as a management trainee at a leading multinational FMCG in Sri Lanka where she went on to practice her expertise in building iconic brands such as Vaseline, Astra and Dove for over five years. She has extensive experience in leading both local and international cross functional teams, steering brands under crisis conditions and innovating on ATL and BTL fronts which has made her a key stakeholder in many award winning marketing campaigns. She joined Softlogic Life in 2017 and now functions as the head of the marketing team steering financial cluster brands such as Softlogic Finance, Softlogic Invest and Softlogic Stockbrokers in addition to Softlogic Life. Kavi Rajapaksha also holds a MBA from Cardiff Metropolitan University, Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Marketing (CIM- UK) (ACIM). She's an Executive Committee Member of Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing, an alumna of Miami Ad School and an advisory to Sri Lanka Export board and electric board on marketing strategy.
