Julie T. Chan is Global Consumer Engagement Lead, Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. Ms. Chan is responsible for developing advertising strategies to drive growth for Pfizer’s global consumer brands, including Advil, Centrum, Caltrate, ChapStick and Nexium24HR.
Her extensive communications and digital expertise, gained through management responsibilities in North America, Asia, Europe and Latin America, combined with her passion to drive innovation, have enabled her to successfully help build the value and equity of Pfizer Consumer Healthcare’s global brands.
In leading Pfizer Consumer Healthcare’s global media strategies, Ms. Chan has driven a unique approach to leveraging consumer insights for effective marketing and communications. Recently, her responsibilities have been expanded and she is now leading Pfizer Consumer Healthcare’s Marketing Excellence initiatives.
Prior to joining Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, during a 13 year career at Johnson & Johnson, she led a team of media professionals responsible for integrated communications, agency oversight and digital marketing for the company’s consumer, pharmaceutical and medical device businesses.
Ms. Chan previously was named an Internationalist Marketer of the Year and has been awarded the W. E. Upjohn Award by Pfizer, which recognizes those whose exceptional contributions have furthered achievement of Pfizer’s mission and purpose. She is a board member of the World Federation of Advertisers as well as the Mobile Marketing Association. She has also been recognized with the Pfizer Consumer Healthcare President’s Eye-on-Innovation Award.
She is the League Coordinator for the Summit Tennis Association High Performance Tennis League. She also has a personal goal to see the Seven Natural Wonders of the World – the Great Barrier Reef is next up on her list.
