The things we create today are extraordinarily complex—requiring many specialists to collaborate. In leading the creative efforts for Second Story’s Atlanta studio, Joel is focused on prototyping new methods that enable this collaboration across disciplines. With a background in character animation and design, Joel brings a character-driven approach to storytelling. And views each project as an opportunity to develop new content types to tell these stories. His approach to experience design leverages technology to trigger multiple human senses — resulting in experiences that (hopefully) illicit an emotional response. Joel graduated magna cum laude with a B.F.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Georgia.
