James Griffin has worked for Unilever, for over 20 years- working across many Home & Personal Care categories, in a numerous roles. He started his FMCG career in Category Management and Strategy, before moving into Customer Management (Sales), working with several large customers, in Sales Controller roles, in the UK. As a brand manager, he led major relaunches on Persil (Omo in the UK), and the entire portfolio of deodorant brands in the UK.

In recent years, he led the eCommerce Team for Unilever, across Europe, overseeing a large capability building programme, and driving growth into both pureplay and grocery.com areas.

He has also led the Personal Care & Gifting business unit- leading both the local marketing teams, as well as the cross functional business team.

5 months ago, despite the international challenges of Covid, James relocated to Ho Chi Minh, with his family, and is now very excited to be leading the Beauty & Personal Care team- here in Vietnam.

Working on such incredible brands, every day, is a privilege he really enjoys. And yet, it is people that have ultimately kept in the same industry (and same company) for so long- both the fascination of understanding consumers, as well as the experience of working with so many good people- across so many functions, agencies and customers.
