Born in 1965 in Kuala Lumpur, Ganesan R. Ampalavanar joined Nestlé at his home country of Malaysia as Management Trainee in 1991 and developed his first years of his career in the Group. He graduated with Bachelor Management (Accounting & Finance) from the University of Science Malaysia and attended post graduate courses at the International Institute of Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland and London Business School, in London, the United Kingdom. 

Ganesan has 29 years of successful experiences in various management, marketing and sales positions and has been providing strategic and operational leaderships for the Group. He has strong organizational and interpersonal skills and committed to organizational performance through result focus mindset and first-rate people development.

Prior to his appointment as the President Director of PT Nestlé Indonesia, Ganesan has held various positions as Sales Director of Nestlé Malaysia in 2004, Executive Vice President – Sales of Nestlé South Asia Region based in New Delhi in 2008, Managing Director of Nestlé Lanka in 2013 and Managing Director of Nestlé Vietnam in 2015.
