Derek Kwok is the Head of Platform Solutions, Greater China of Google, overseeing all DoubleClick products in the region. This includes its demand-side platform DoubleClick Bid Manager (DBM), search engine marketing platform DoubleClick Search (DS), third-party ad serving platform DoubleClick Campaign Manager (DCM), rich media platform DoubleClick Rich Media (DRM), and its ad exchange platform DoubleClick Ad Exchange (AdX). Through the DoubleClick Digital Marketing Platforms, marketers can reach and engage with their target audience through multi-screen and multi-format advertising at scale.

Derek has more than 20 years of advertising and media experience in China. He has been based in mainland China since 1997 and has been working in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. From 1996-2011 Derek worked at the leading media agency ZenithOptimedia and became its China Managing Director since 2004. ZenithOptimedia became the largest media agency in 2010 (Source: RECMA). In September 2011 Derek joined Yoyi Digital as its COO and launched the first DSP (Demand-side Platform) which supported RTB (Real-time Bidding) in China, and sparked the programmatic market. In August 2014, Derek joined Google to further accelerate the programmatic development in Greater China.

Derek is honored the China’s Digital A-List in both 2014 and 2015 by Campaign Asia-Pacific, and he is the chairman of the data sub-committee of the ROI Festival.
