Before joining Google, Arpita Kumar worked as a filmmaker both in the U.S. and India and won multiple film awards including the PBS People’s Choice Award. She was also a writer for Issa Rae’s UMC show, Minimum Wage.
At Google, Arpita took on a Creative Lead role. She led the launch of Google Assistant’s persona in 16+ locales in APAC and South Asia and created delightful voice-first experiences for the N.B.U (Next Billion Users).
At the moment, she writes for the Core Personality team with a focus on making an equitable A.I. experience for all.
