Alex Woodford is Vice President, Client Partner, APAC at Essence, a global data and measurement-driven media agency which is part of GroupM. 

Joining Essence London as Client Director in 2014, Alex moved to the agency’s Singapore office in 2017 to oversee a portfolio of client businesses in APAC. He currently also heads up business development for the agency in the region. 

Prior to Essence, Alex was Digital Strategy Director at entertainment marketing agency AKA in the United Kingdom, where he led over 50 people across London, New York and Sydney to drive digital strategy, innovation, business growth and service offerings. He managed brands including DC Comics, BBC, DreamWorks and Disney.

Alex also founded Vibe, a London-based interactive marketing agency that delivered strategy, creative, content, media and interactive marketing solutions for brands such as MTV, Electronic Arts and Oracle. 

Outside of work, Alex enjoys golf and DJs at Formula One World Championship events around the world.
