Consumer Best Practices

CONSUMER BEST PRACTICES COMMITTEE
The Consumer Best Practices committee is developing a recommended set of guidelines to ensure a better experience for the wireless subscribers.

The Consumer Best Practices Committee is an appointed committee and members are appointed by the MMA Executive Committee.  The Committee is comprised of wireless operators and aggregators – as well as members of the MMA and CTIA.

Deliverables
Current deliverables in consumer best practices include:
- Review Best Practices and their impact on the industry to make sure they are protecting consumers, are balanced, and are positive for the industry.
     - Reformation of the commitee in October.
     - Receive Best Practices feedback.
     - Revise Best Practices as necessary.
- Contine to advocate the Best Practices as responsible industry measures to protect consumers within the industry and with policy and lawmakers.
- Expand and enhance existing Best Practices based on changes in industry (TV voting, Bluetooth, etc)
     - To become part of mandate when group reconvenes in October
- Develop a link between best Practices Committee and MMA Monitoring initiative.
     - Educate Monitoring team on details of Best Practices
     - Keep Monitoring team current on Best Practice developments
     - Monitoring initiative will be a great source of Best Practice feedback 
     - Build feedback loop into the monitoring process from start
