Benjamin Joe is Vice President for Southeast Asia and Emerging Markets at Meta. Ben leads teams that build communities and businesses across Southeast Asia and South Asia countries and is based in Singapore.

Since joining Meta, Ben has worked across multiple leadership roles and regions across the company. He started in Menlo Park HQ as Strategist, building marketing strategies for global brands and e-commerce companies. In 2013, Ben moved to Seoul to build teams and businesses as Meta’s first Country Director for Korea. Ben also spearheaded Meta’s international growth efforts entering Asia in 2008.

Prior to joining Meta, Ben was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he advised companies on corporate strategy, sales & marketing, and mergers & acquisitions based out of Palo Alto, California. Before McKinsey & Company he worked in sales and business development roles at IBM.

Currently, Ben serves on the Board of Directors at US-ASEAN Business Council and MMA. He previously served as Vice Chairman on the Board of Directors at Korea Internet Corporations Association. Ben also sits on advisory boards of technology start-ups across the US, Southeast Asia, and Korea.

Ben earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and holds B.A. degrees in Business Administration and English Literature from Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea.
