Statement of Mobile Marketing Association
CEO Greg Stuart on the Passing of Steve Jobs
New York, NY, 5 October, 2011 – Today, Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) CEO Greg Stuart issued the following statement in response to the news of the death of Steve Jobs:
“For those of us who believed in the future of mobile marketing, Steve Jobs gave us the device that would forever change our industry and our world.
“Informed by a personal vision of "what could be" - as opposed to one driven by market research, Steve Jobs imagined devices that were more than the sum of their parts and which became an extension of the user's needs, desires and aspirations. His genius in advertising from the iconic ‘1984’ ad to the ‘Think Differently’ campaign and to ‘iAds,’ - linking product, function and message -blazed a marketing trail that few have been able to follow.
“Steve Jobs’s loss leaves the world a poorer place, but it is a world that he helped re-imagine and re-engineer. That world is his legacy.”
