The first planned deliverable from the MMA Location Committee is due to be released co-incident with Advertising Week in late September 2013. Co-chairs Monica Ho of xAd and Jake Moskowitz of Nielsen are leading committee efforts to establish a comprehensive set of definitions that should be used in the use of location in mobile marketing.
The committee formed a working group that isolated the following content areas pertinent to location – data & signals, targeting & strategies and measurement & metrics. This construct is supported by a comprehensive glossary of terms. The committee raised funds to retain both a writer and designer to bring this paper to the mobile marketing world.
