8TV launches mobile Internet portals for broadcast channels on Netbiscuits’ mobile Internet platform

Singapore, 17 February 2009 - Mobile phone users in Malaysia can now catch their favorite television programs on their smart phones. 8TV, a station under the new media arm of Media Prima Berhad titled Alt Media, has embarked on a first of its kind partnership with Netbiscuits, the world’s leading business-to-business mobile web software platform.

The number of 3G subscribers in Malaysia expected to hit 10.6 million in the next two years, according to Siemens SG, and 8TV is excited at the growth prospects and benefits that the mobile strategy will bring.
