Mobile Marketing Association Names 2009 Board of Directors for Latin America

MMA also named new representatives for other three regions in the world

New York, London, Singapore & Sao Paulo – May 14, 2009 — The Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) (www.mmaglobal.com) today announced the new representatives of its regional board in Latin America. The election of the new board members comes after over a month of nominations and voting by MMA members and precedes the election of regional Executive Committee members, who also make up the Global Board.

MMA also announced today the new representatives of its other three regional boards in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. The MMA global and regional board members work together with MMA staff to oversee and guide the Mobile Marketing Association and its industry initiatives, continuing to foster region-wide leadership on the key issues that affect the industry such as metrics and measurement and the protection of consumer privacy.

“As an action-oriented, member-driven trade association, we incorporate the entire mobile marketing ecosystem in the work that we do. “The MMA LATAM Branch was formed in 2008 in order to establish a regional MMA presence. Thanks to the 2008 board members and their efforts, we increased membership in the region and were able to drive sustainable development of the industry marked by the release of the Consumer Best Practices for Brazil with the backing of all the major carriers. The new board will hold its first meeting within 30 days of election. Regional and Global Executive Committee elections and the appointment of the new Global Chairperson will be announced in June.
