September 3, 2013

MANILA - September 4, 2013.  As the Asia-Pacific region is expected to fuel the growth of mobile marketing in the world, the spotlight is on the region’s marketers and how they can deliver on this stage. Home to the next billion of mobile users, the potentials are ripe, but strategy needs to keep up to speed with the opportunity.

Today marks the launch of the Mobile Marketing Academy—an online education program to train the region’s next generation of mobile marketers. Endorsed by the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA), the program was designed for fast-paced professionals who want to stay abreast of marketing’s most crucial touchpoint today.

“It is time to be more proactive in educating our region’s professionals in mobile. The Mobile Marketing Academy brings expert knowledge straight into their hands, and will even guide them through to the practical application of this knowledge,” said Rohit Dadwal, Managing Director of the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) Asia-Pacific.

The Mobile Marketing Academy will open on October 15 and will run for five weeks, taking participants though an intensive course covering mobile industry landscape, mobile framework planning, and toolkits.

Key benefits of the program include:

  • Twelve (12) one-hour webinars with over 10 regional experts, to focus on various mobile marketing disciplines. Speakers come from Google, Twitter, TNS, Mobext, Fiksu, and more.
  • Over 100 learning modules and case studies. Hands-on learning is encouraged via weekly caselets and assignments.
  • 100% online training—access weekly live webinars, learning modules, training videos, and caselets, anytime and anywhere
  • Preparatory training for Mobile Marketing Certification by the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) APAC.

The Mobile Marketing Academy is organized by Mobext, the mobile marketing arm of the Havas Media Group, and the International Institute of Digital Marketing (IIDM), and e-Learning Edge.

“After we have organized successful mobile marketing conferences and seminars for marketers, now it’s time for them to roll up their sleeves immerse and themselves in real training to be able to create truly integrated mobile marketing campaigns,” said Arthur Policarpio, Head of Mobext Asia-Pacific.

For Hans Roxas Chua, Co-director of the International Institute of Digital Marketing, “Expertise in mobile marketing is fast becoming a key differentiator for marketing professionals today. Very soon, mobile knowledge will be required by every leading company across industries, and it is better to stay ahead of the learning curve and have a strong foundation now.”

The Mobile Marketing Academy will open on October 15, and interested participants can register at www.mobilemarketingacademy.org. The website also offers a full view of the curriculum, course schedules, and pricing.
