Marcio Chaer Appointed New Managing Director for MMA LATAM
With broad experience in marketing and mobility, the executive plans to make mobile marketing an essential part of brands and agencies budgets, while focusing on education, metrics and privacy.
São Paulo, August 8, 2011 – Marcio Chaer has just been appointed managing director for MMA LATAM (Mobile Marketing Association Latin America.) The executive has more than ten years of experience in advertising, marketing, multimedia and telecommunication value-added services.
Marcio will focus on the education of agencies and brands, and look to provide clear understanding of mobile marketing benefits, metrics and consumer privacy best practices.
Over the past five years Marcio has been dedicated to the digital and mobile markets, specializing in strategic consultancy services and new business development. The executive’s priority is to acquire more MMA LATAM members through actions that add value for the entire mobile marketing ecosystem.
“It is with satisfaction that I take on this position to help grow the organization and the mobile marketing industry. The organization has recently signed eight new Global Premium Members and has achieved success with its MMA Forum in New York with more than 950 attendees and 115 speakers,” said Marcio. “I invite all of our members and other mobile marketing companies, to be increasingly engaged with the MMA. I am sure that mobile marketing will follow the same trajectory as the Web when it started ten years ago but at a much higher rate. The MMA will show how mobility can improve revenues and add value to companies, as an integral part of the brand marketing mix,” ended Marcio Chaer. The executive also hopes to increase MMA operations in Latin America, which recently opened a Local Council in Argentina this year.
