Google wanted to draw your attention to a new feature we are launching today – “Your Data in Search.” This is the latest in our longstanding effort to ensure that Google users have easy access to information about the data in their account as well as the options they have to control it.

We believe that it should be easy to get information about how Google uses your data to power our products — and that information should be relevant to the products people use every day. With “Your Data in Search,” users will be able to access information about how their data is used, and how to control it, directly within the Search page. It also provides immediate insight into how user data is used to improve the Search experience for all users, directly tackling some thorny questions like “how search uses location data.”

Now, without ever leaving Search, users can review and delete recent Search activity, get quick access to the most relevant privacy controls in their Google Account, and learn more about how Search works with their data.
