Tech industry veteran Kazunari Tanaka to lead market penetration for much needed digital consumer solution

SAN JOSE, CALIF. – Nov. 27, 2012 –

41st Parameter – the global leader in enabling secure online banking and commerce, as well as supporting more effective digital advertising – today announced the opening of an office in Tokyo, Japan. This expansion will help meet the demands of the Japanese market, which is a world leader in online commerce and mobile content consumption. It was fueled in part by the company’s 2012 funding which included Japanese-focused investors Itochu Technology Ventures and JAFCO Ventures. Kazunari Tanaka, a seasoned leader with a proven record in market development, has joined the company as country manager and will oversee both the FraudNet fraud prevention & online security product line and the AdTruth digital media and advertising offerings.

"2012 has been an amazing year of growth and expansion for the company,” said Alan Naumann, chief executive officer at 41st Parameter, “including an additional round of funding, continued momentum for our AdTruth device recognition technology in the US and EU and the increased adoption of our industry-leading fraud prevention products. Japan presents an important new market for the company and Tanaka-san is a key addition to our management team.”

41st Parameter’s entry into the Japanese market will be led by its patented FraudNet technologies, which are already deployed by some of the world’s largest enterprises and are responsible for dramatic reductions in on-line fraud loss. The company’s AdTruth division, which is solving the audience recognition challenge for digital marketers, will also play an important role in the company’s in-market success.

41st Parameter is already experiencing enthusiastic reception in Japan. According to comScore, more than 76 percent of the country’s population is using mobile services. With rapidly increasing attacks against online banking and ecommerce sites, and the inability of marketers to effectively reach the country’s large and growing mobile user base, the Japanese market is an important growth opportunity for 41st Parameter.

"41st Parameter is a respected brand when it comes to recognizing devices to protect consumers and enhance their digital experience,” said Tanaka. “It is a privilege to be establishing the company’s presence here in Japan. The up-tick of mobile activity has been dramatic, but it has brought an increased vulnerability to fraud and an untapped opportunity for mobile marketing. 41st Parameter’s device recognition technology will be a critical element in solving these two key issues in Japan.”

41st Parameter is actively seeking talented sales professionals and software engineers with a strong focus in data analytics and algorithm refinement. Check the career page for open positions.
