VIDIATOR’S XENON ENCODER TO SUPPORT NTT DOCOMO’S I-MOTION SERVICES

BELLEVUE, Wash — Oct. 9, 2006 — Vidiator®, a leading provider of mobile streaming, encoding, mobile TV and 3D messaging solutions, announced today that it has started supporting NTT DoCoMo’s i-mode service with their Xenon™ Encoder.  The Xenon Encoder provides the highest quality multimedia encoding for mobile devices with its optimized encoding algorithm, fully compliant with all relevant international standards, allowing for the real-time converting of any analog or digital audio and video signals.

As part of an award winning mobile encoder product line, the Xenon Encoder now supports NTT DoCoMo’s new specifications for i-motion, an i-mode related service, to deliver mobile video and audio entertainment over its HSDPA network to FOMA subscribers. Available now, all current and prospective content providers to NTT DoCoMo are encouraged to use the Xenon Encoder in order to provide high-quality mobile multimedia content. Content providers seeking to access and purchase the first encoder for i-motion over HSDPA with new codecs, as certified by NTT DoCoMo, can contact Vidiator through its website, http://www.vidiator.com.

“NTT DoCoMo is a recognized global leader in mobile multimedia content services and delivery and launched the world’s first 3G W-CDMA network.  Its selection and support of the Xenon Encoder is a strong validation for the reliability and advanced capabilities of our encoding technology,” said <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Connie Wong, CEO, Vidiator. “Our Xenon Encoder makes it possible to offer high quality mobile video and audio content services to NTT DoCoMo FOMA subscribers.”

NTT DoCoMo's HSDPA service launched on August 31, 2006 and its packet data transfer speeds are up to 10 times faster than the existing W-CDMA network to support a wide variety of applications that include the downloading of large size video and music content. The Xenon Encoder, enhanced with the new industry standard multimedia codecs including H.264, HE-AAC and Enhanced aacPlus, supports generations of i-motion video and audio content and is compatible with NTT DoCoMo’s HSDPA handset family, including the 3G FOMA™ N902iX HIGH-SPEED.

“We are very pleased that subscribers to DoCoMo’s standards-based 3G service—FOMA—and i-motion mobile video clip service now have the opportunity to enjoy enhanced video and music mobile content thanks to the Xenon Encoder’s support of our new codecs,” said Takeshi Natsuno, senior vice president and managing director of multimedia services at NTT DoCoMo.
