Vinay Dixit is a senior business leader with over 30 years of experience across Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa who is passionate about achieving business success as well as creating a sustainable positive impact in the community. In his current role, Vinay is leading COVID Business Portfolio for Abbott Laboratories in Asia Pacific which aims at providing support to governments, organizations & individuals enhance their resilience through high quality rapid diagnostic solutions.

Since graduating from premier Indian colleges, IIT (BHU) Varanasi and IIM Ahmedabad, Vinay’s career has spanned Automotive, FMCG, Consulting, Consumer Durable & Healthcare industries. Having lived across multiple cities in India, Singapore and Shanghai and leading large cross-functional and cross-cultural teams, Vinay has developed a rich situational leadership style, delivering impactful business results in each of his roles. With a strong intrapreneurial mindset, he has led several start-up businesses and incubated new business models to drive innovative revenue streams for companies.

Vinay counts people leadership and community engagement as his key passions, ensuring that superior business results are end products of highly inspired and collaborative teams. As a strong believer in “giving back”, he has been engaged for over 15 years with IIMPACT (an NGO founded by alumni of IIM, Ahmedabad) which supports primary education for girls in poorest villages in India. He is also actively involved with another IIM Ahmedabad founded NGO, Safe In India, which works towards improving the health & safety of workers in automotive supply chain in India.

Vinay’s previous role was Vice President - Food Preparation & Dish Care, Electrolux Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa, with additional responsibility as Managing Director of Electrolux India. Preceding to Electrolux, Vinay was Senior Director of Asia Consumer Center at McKinsey & Company in Shanghai and Singapore. His other experiences include General Motors, Hindustan Unilever Ltd. and Maruti Suzuki India Limited in Sales, Marketing & Business Development roles.

A regular speaker at various industry forums like IHT Sustainable Luxury Conference, Adobe Digital Symposium, Economist Roundtable, British Walpole Luxury Summit etc. Vinay has co-authored several publications on Purpose Driven Leadership including “Redesign Tools To Translate Purpose Into Action”, “Businesses must reframe their purpose, priorities” and “The Post Pandemic Company”. His other articles on Asian market & consumers include “Understanding China’s Growing Love for Luxury”, “One country, many markets: Targeting the Chinese consumer with McKinsey ClusterMap”, and “Digital Nation on the Rise: Profiting from China’s Internet Revolution”.
