Ratnakar Lavu is NIKE, Inc.’s first Chief Digital Information Officer. He joined Nike in June of 2019 and is responsible for all of Nike’s Global Technology efforts. Ratnakar and his team leverage disruptive technologies across Nike’s business to build the marketplace of the future and develop Nike’s end-to-end technology foundation. He plays a key role in leading Nike’s digital transformation, enabling personal and connected consumer experiences and accelerating Nike’s growth.
Before Nike, Ratnakar was the Chief Technology Officer at Kohl’s, where he led the transformation of the company’s customer experience, creating a best-in-class omni-channel retail experience across mobile, social, web, kiosk and in-store point of sale. He also helped expand Kohl’s presence in Silicon Valley with the opening of Kohl’s Digital Innovation Center. Prior to Kohl's, Ratnakar served as Chief Technology Officer at Redbox Automated Retail, LLC and Vice President of E-commerce and Information Technology at Macys.com.
Ratnakar and his wife along with their two children are based in Portland, Ore. He enjoys following his favorite sports teams, the Golden State Warriors, the San Francisco 49ers and Manchester United.
