As CPO for Waze, Rapha oversees the company’s product vision and execution, which is fundamental to Waze reinventing itself as a Mobility company.
Parisian born and bred, Rapha graduated in Electrical Engineering from the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology), specializing in Digital Signal Processing and Information Theory.
After starting his journey as an Algorithms Engineer for wireless communications systems, he co-founded a company in the algo-trading space subsequently acquired by a global finance player. He then ran Product for DesignArt Networks, a leading technology provider in the then-nascent 4G infrastructure market. The company was acquired by Qualcomm to lead its cellular infrastructure strategy, where Rapha owned the base stations product line.
Following those two exits, he joined Google as Product Lead to launch Waze Carpool, before moving into his current role leading all Waze Product and UX efforts in 2018.
Rapha is the husband of one and the father of four, and currently lives in Israel’s countryside among vineyards and palm trees.
