Ongki started his career in Citibank. He then worked as a Principal for The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), with experience leading a number of strategic projects in telecommunications and banking field in several countries across Asia and Europe. At PT XL Axiata, his career began as SVP Corporate Strategy and Business Development in 2009, followed by a stint as SVP Service Management, then Director/Chief Service Management Officer in 2011, with last position as Director/Chief Digital Services Officer. He was also on the Board of Adknowledge Asia and Elevenia.

At LINE Indonesia, Ongki continues the corporate mission of “Closing the Distance”. He is committed to connect users to other users, information, services, companies and brands – online and offline – anytime and anywhere. Ongki’s strategy for LINE will be customized to be local and entrenched with Indonesian culture, with commitment to empower Indonesians through its creative platform.

Ongki obtained his Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 1995, as well as an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley in 2003. He has completed all Levels (1-3) of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program from The CFA Institute. Ongki has also attended a number of executive programs organized by Harvard Business School and INSEAD.
