Appointed Committees
Committees may be appointed committees and will be established, either by the Executive Committee or the Global Chair.  Membership is restricted only to those companies appointed for committee membership.  All deliverables, from appointed committees, are reported to the Board of Directors.

Committee Charter & Deliverables
Each Committee’s Charter and Deliverables are determined in consultation with the member companies represented on each committee.  Priority is determined by the committees.

New Committee Initiatives 
The MMA is open to developing new committee initiatives as recommended and requested by its membership.  For additional information, please contact Leo Scullin, Global Industry Initiatives, [email protected].

Process for Starting A Committee
The process for establishing a new committee, within the MMA, is as follows:

  1. Contact President or Global Chair with the details of the committee.  Include:  Charter, Deliverables (short and long term), Proposed Chairperson as well as potential member companies.
  2. Review proposal with MMA President and/or Global Chair.
  3. Once proposal is approved by President and/or Global Chair, it will be submitted to the MMA Executive Committee for review and final approval.
  4. Interim Committee Chairperson will be contacted to advise that Committee has been approved – and it is set to launch.
  5. Once committee is approved, MMA will send out a notification email, in newsletter or alternative format, presenting committee and soliciting membership.
  6. Committee details will be added to the mmaglobal.com website.
  7. Detailed committee information will be maintained on mmaglobal.com within the 'Members Only' section of the website.

MMA INTERNAL COMMITTEES

Audit Committee
The Audit Committee is responsible for providing oversight on the association financials.  The Audit Committee reviews and approves the Association financial results, annually, as prepared by the Association’s accounting firm.

Governance Committee
The Governance Committee is responsible for the MMA bylaws and all governance procedures for the association.  The Committee review, develops and recommends enhancements to the association governance structure.
