Tom Daly

Tom Daly is a member of The Coca-Cola Company’s Global Interactive Marketing team. Since joining Coca-Cola in 2005, he has lead and contributed to many of the company’s highest profile online programs such as the 2006 Winter Olympic Games, 2006 FIFA World Cup and the award winning (and ground-breaking) re-launch of Coca-Cola.com. He’s been actively involved the company’s mobile initiatives (he’s past Vice-Chairman of the Mobile Marketing Association) and currently oversees a diverse range of initiatives ranging 2D mobile codes to worldwide search marketing programs to the company’s strategies and policies for hiring, evaluating and compensating all interactive service providers.

His first professional experience was on the agency side in New York (with creative legend Jerry Della Femina), but for more nearly 15 years, Tom has had interactive focus with leadership roles on the client side at UPS and ING, as well as on the agency side at Circle.com.

From the beginning, Tom’s been a champion of interactive marketing showing an ability to find the early opportunities: Beta customer of DoubleClick, partner with pre-IPO Yahoo!, sponsored cross-platform web/TV content programs with ZDTV, initial funding for cross-media optimization studies with pioneering research firm Marketing Evolution, innovative content licensing program with ING and Time-Warner, and early adoption of mobile advertising networks such as AdMob.

Katy Dickson leads General Mills’ Marketing Centers of Excellence (Mobile Strategy, Multi-Cultural, Box Tops for Education, Brand Design, and Promotion Marketing), Campaign Integration, and Marketing Leadership.

A 1988 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, she spent five years as an officer in the U.S. Air Force, before earning her MBA at UCLA’s Anderson School. She joined General Mills in 1992, and has stewarded leading brands such as Nature Valley, and Big G Cereals. In 2003, she was promoted to VP/Director, Betty Crocker, and advanced to VP/Director, Pillsbury, from 2004-2010.

She is married to husband Tom, and is the proud mom of Michael, Audrey and Sydney.

Carl Fremont has over 30 years of experience in advertising and marketing. During his career, Carl has worked on a myriad of consumer and business-to-business brands. As a media specialist, Carl has played a leading role in the industry. As a frequent industry speaker and consultant, Carl is often quoted in the trade press on his views on the future of digital marketing and media.

At Digitas since 2000, Carl has led the Global Media practice comprised of over 400 professionals in seven domestic and international offices. The Digitas media capability develops channel and media strategies that reach, engage and generate high value customers for their clients including America Express, Whirlpool, Kraft, Mars, Sanofi, Astra Zeneca, Delta, Chilis among others many others. Digitas is one of the leaders in digital-centric performance and brand media encompassing Search Marketing, Online Advertising, email, Social Marketing, Mobile, Gaming, Digital Video and other emerging media forms. Carl has built the premier industry media practice with the leading digital media and technology partner companies. Under Carl’s direction, Digitas has built leading-edge capabilities such as a Media Operations Team responsible for architecting advanced ad-serving cross platform for optimal message management. Rob is the Global Director of Product Development at Havas Digital in charge of driving product and service development across the agency’s global network.

He has been almost six years building out the agency’s search and analytics capabilities, where he was responsible for providing strategic guidance and leadership to teams of dedicated specialists fully integrated within the agency.

Rob will now expand his influence and vision to help drive the agency’s digital capabilities in emerging specializations like online video and social media while still keeping a focus on analytics and search, given the importance both have to Havas Digital clients and their successful digitally-focused and fully-integrated communications plans.

Rob has had two stints with Havas over the last 8+ years working with a variety of clients like Fidelity, Valspar, Air France, and Hyundai Kia. He has worked within the interactive space since 1996, when he started his career at The Family Education Network. He later moved into an analyst position at The Laredo Group before joining the agency world where he has been ever since.

Jack is Vice President of Global Advertising & Digital for Colgate-Palmolive, where he is responsible for all the Company’s advertising throughout the world, as well as for leading all Colgate digital activities globally, including all channels of digital marketing, and internal applications of digital technologies.

Mr. Haber had been Vice President, General Manager of U.S. Oral Care where he led the U.S. launch of Colgate Total toothpaste and led Colgate’s business to market leadership for the first time in over 35 years.

Mr. Haber joined Colgate-Palmolive in the Corporate New Ventures and Acquisitions Group where he was responsible for the development of new business opportunities for the Company. He then progressed through increasingly responsible Marketing positions in the US and in Europe and in Global Marketing, where he led the development and worldwide launch of Colgate Total toothpaste.

Mr. Haber was chosen as Brandweek Marketer of the Year in 1998, and was also selected as one of Advertising Age’s top 100.

Barry Judge is executive vice president, chief marketing officer for Best Buy Co., Inc., a multinational retailer of technology and entertainment products and services. In this role, Judge provides overall vision and leadership to all areas of marketing for the enterprise, including brand management, customer research and development, trend, promotions, advertising, marketing communications, internal communications and public affairs.

Judge joined Best Buy as a member of its e-commerce team in November 1999. He played an integral role in the 2000 launch of BestBuy.com and helped pioneer the company’s multi-channel consumer marketing and direct marketing efforts. In 2006, his role as senior vice president of marketing expanded to include oversight of the company’s customer research and development capability to facilitate increased ingenuity in service of customers and focus on growth. He also gained responsibility for marketing communications, internal communications, public relations, public affairs and promotions at that time. He was named chief marketing officer in 2008, and promoted to executive vice president and chief marketing officer in 2009.

He began his career at The Direct Marketing Group and has held positions ranging from marketing assistant to product group manager with Young & Rubicam, Coca Cola USA, The Quaker Oats Company and the Pillsbury Company. He also served as vice president of marketing for Caribou Coffee Company.

Judge has a bachelor’s degree from Brown University and a master’s degree in marketing from the J.L. Kellogg School at Northwestern University.

Mike Kelly is a veteran media executive, advertising industry leader and an expert on digital and cross platform media and advertising.

From 2009 to 2012 Kelly served as CEO and President of The Weather Channel companies, a $4 Billion multiplatform media company. Adopting an aggressive cross platform strategy, TWC consumer usage grew significantly during Kelly’s tenure. Total users/viewers grew to 163 million and customers of all three platforms (Cable, Web and Mobile) tripled to more than 30%. Most pronounced was the growth of mobile. By 2011, mobile web visits grew sharply to 33 million visitors and number of apps downloaded on phones and tablets exceeded 65 million, making TWC a top five mobile company in the United States in traffic and revenue. Overall, TWC has had record revenue and profits over the past 3 years.

Prior to TWCC, Kelly served as a Senior Advisor at Veronis Suhler Stevenson, a $3 Billion private equity fund. He also served on the Board of Directors of several high growth digital media companies including Mediamind, one of the world’s leading digital media services companies. From 2000-2007 Kelly was the President of AOL Media Networks, President of Global Marketing at Time Warner and was co-founder and CEO of American Town Network (ATN), an interactive media company that creates local social networks in thousands of towns. Before establishing ATN, Mr. Kelly had a 17-year career with Time Inc. He was on the launch team of Entertainment Weekly and served as its Publisher from 1996-2000.

Mr. Kelly is an officer of the American Advertising Federation and serves on the board and Executive Committee of The Advertising Council. He is also a founder of The Kelly Gang, a 501c3 organization that benefits grass roots charities.

In April 2009, Wenda Harris Millard became President and COO of MediaLink LLC, a leading strategic advisory and business development firm that provides critical counsel and direction to the media, advertising and entertainment industries and to companies and investors that interact with those sectors.

Before joining MediaLink, Ms. Millard was Co-CEO and President, Media for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc. She joined MSLO in July 2007 after three years as a member of its Board of Directors. Ms. Millard oversaw MSLO’s media businesses, which include publishing, internet and broadcasting. She was the driving force behind creating cross-platform programs for marketers in TV, digital, magazines and radio.

Before MSLO, Ms. Millard was Chief Sales Officer at Yahoo! where she led the team that drove revenue from $700 million to over $6 billion in six years and was consistently credited as the number one sales organization in the media industry. On an industry-wide level her work at Yahoo! established brand advertising on the web. Prior to Yahoo!, Ms. Millard was Chief Internet Officer at Ziff Davis Media and President of Ziff Davis Internet. Previously, Ms. Millard was a founding member of the executive team at DoubleClick, where she served as Executive Vice President responsible for establishing the DoubleClick brand and overseeing the operations of DoubleClick Media. She also served as President and Group Publisher of SRDS, Senior Vice President and Publisher of Family Circle and Executive Vice President/Group Publisher of Adweek, Mediaweek and Brandweek magazines.

Ms. Millard has received numerous industry awards including the 2011 Oracle Award from Springboard, the 2009 ad:tech Lifetime Achievement Award, the 2007 John A. Reisenbach Award for Distinguished Citizenship, the 2006 “Advertising Person of the Year” Silver Medal Award from the AAF and the 2005 Matrix Award for “Women Who Change the World.” Advertising Age acknowledged her as a “Digital Media Master”—one of the 20 most influential executives in interactive media. She was the subject of a profile by Tom Brokaw as part of NBC’s “Women to Watch” series.

Active on behalf of the advertising industry throughout her career, Ms. Millard is immediate past Chairman of the Interactive Advertising Bureau and former President of the Advertising Club of New York. She has served on the Boards of the Advertising Council, the American Advertising Federation, the Advertising Education Foundation and others. Currently, she sits on the Boards of several emerging media companies as well as on the Boards of the James Beard Foundation and Pop!Tech. She served two terms as a Trustee of Trinity College in Hartford.

Ms. Millard holds an MBA from Harvard University and a BA from Trinity College.

Krishna Subramanian joined Velti as the co-founder of Mobclix, and in 2011 he was promoted to chief marketing officer at Velti. Previously, Krishna co-founded and was the general manager of new business at Blue Lithium, the world’s largest behavioral targeted ad network, which was acquired by Yahoo! in 2007. He previously led product and marketing at BlueLithium where he pioneered key elements of behavioral targeting: retargeting, predictive targeting, and SIP. Prior to that, Krishna founded Burrp! (acquired by media conglomerate TV18), a localized review and recommendation portal for India, where he ran product and marketing, focusing on ad-supported content delivery to mobile phones. He has a patent pending on mobile analytics and monetization. Krishna graduated with honors from UC Davis.

Naveen is the Chief Executive Officer, Founder and the man in charge of it all. He has been responsible for the overall vision, strategy and execution of InMobi. His view of the growth of the mobile ecosystem and leveraging InMobi as a key tenet in developing that mobile ecosystem was the foundation stone on which InMobi was built.

Naveen’s journey started with McKinsey & Company where he worked on developing the go-to-market strategy for a large Indian conglomerate, as it entered the telecom sector. He has also worked with the top management of technology companies on various issues. Later, he joined Charles River Ventures (CRV), a top tier VC firm focusing on early stage investing in software and communications. Naveen worked with CRV on developing its India investment strategy. He also worked briefly with a mobile VoIP startup in Silicon Valley. Most recently Naveen was names one of the Top 50 Executives in Mobile Content by Mobile Entertainment Magazine.

Naveen is the Founder and Chairman of a US based non-profit organization, India School Fund (ISF), which has been formed to set up schools in rural India. ISF started in 2006 with only a few Harvard Business School friends and has now grown to have over 50 people across India and U.S.

Naveen obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT) and has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School (HBS). At HBS, Naveen was the recipient of the “Dean’s Award”, the highest honor for his exceptional leadership and contribution.

David Verklin

David Verklin is a marketing consultant who for the past three years served as CEO of Canoe Ventures, LLC, the high profile joint venture founded in 2008 by the country´s leading cable operators. Based in New York City, Canoe is owned by the country’s largest cable MSO’s and continues to be focused on enabling advanced advertising and television technologies delivered via the unified integration of all of the nation’s cable TV infrastructure—nearly 60 million homes.

Prior to joining Canoe Ventures, David was CEO of Aegis Media Americas for, where he was one of the pioneers in the creation of the free standing media agency business in the United States. David brought the media agency Carat to North and South America and quickly grew capitalized media billings to approach $7 billion annually. He reinvented the agency model by integrating on and offline marketing services with the merger of Carat Fusion and Carat USA. This resulted in one operating company which for a short time was the largest fully integrated on/offline agency in the world.

David is a recognized media industry leader. During his tenure at Aegis, David wrote a book, "Watch This, Listen Up, Click Here," a user´s manual for understanding the new media landscape (John Wiley and Sons, 2007) which is still being used as a college textbook. Writing about David, Ad Age once asked the question, "...is there a single other human being who has been as much of a leader, visionary, a force for change and a voice of optimism in the media and marketing industries over the last 15 years?"

David began his career at Young & Rubicam, New York and then helped create Hal Riney & Partners in San Francisco, one of the countries most famous and awarded creative agencies first serving as its Media Director and later as its Managing Director. Under David’s leadership Riney became one of the largest privately held advertising agencies in the United States before it was sold to the Publicis Group.

David’s awards are too many to mention. He was inducted into the Broadcast and Cable Hall of Fame in 2009 and is also a member of the American Advertising Foundation’s Hall of Achievement. CableFAX Magazine recently named him as one of the 100 most influential people in the US cable television business. He also serves on the boards of the New York Multiple Sclerosis Society, Entitle Direct Insurance LLC and the Grace Farms Foundation. David is a graduate of the University of Virginia.

After several years as CEO of new technology start-ups, including the first company to offer high sped delivery of data to home computers and the first digital video delivery service, Mr. Wheeler was asked to take over the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association (CTIA). He served as CEO of CTIA from 1992-2004.

Mr. Wheeler wrote Take Command: Leadership Lessons of the Civil War (Doubleday, 2000) and Mr. Lincoln’s T-Mails: The Untold Story of How Abraham Lincoln Used the Telegraph to Win the Civil War (HarperCollins, 2006). His commentaries on current events have been published in the Washington Post, USA Today, Los Angeles Times, Newsday, and other leading publications.

Presidents Clinton and Bush each appointed Mr. Wheeler a Trustee of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts where he served for 12 years. Currently he is chairman of the UN Foundation’s mHealth Alliance as well as chairing the U.S. State Department’s Advisory Committee on International Communications and Information Policy as well as the Federal Communications Commission’s Technology Advisory Council. He is a board member and former Chairman of the Foundation for the National Archives, and is on the advisory board of the John Glenn School of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University. Mr. Wheeler sits on the boards of Core portfolio companies Roundbox, UpdateLogic, Twisted Pair Solutions, and GoMoBo. He is also on the board of public companies EarthLink (NASDQ: ELNK) and TNS (NYSE:TNS).

Mr. Wheeler is a graduate of The Ohio State University and the recipient of its Alumni Medal for national and international career achievement. He resides in Washington, D.C.
