As Head of Marketing in India and Southwest Asia, Deepa Krishnan leads the strategic marketing initiatives and brand development of Hyatt’s extensive portfolio within the region. With over 23 years of experience, Deepa plays a pivotal role in shaping the marketing strategy, brand communication efforts, loyalty initiatives and fostering innovation for the existing and emerging Hyatt brands. Prior to joining Hyatt, Deepa was the Chief Marketing Officer at Tata Starbucks Private Ltd. and headed Marketing, Category, Loyalty and Digital. Her earlier roles were as an Executive Director, Strategy at Kantar and Head of Branding and Marketing Communication at Idea Cellular Ltd.

She has played a key role in shaping the overall innovation strategy at Diageo India and was also part of the Futures Company where she addressed the strategic business issues of brands like Unilever, Phillip Morris, Mondelez; in areas related to consumer trends, brand repositioning, marketing strategy and innovation. She has also been a part of Godrej Appliances and played a role in Marketing and New Product Development and helped the company’s foray into rural markets.

Deepa holds a PGDM degree from IMDR (Institute of Management Development and Research). She is a passionate marketer and is constantly studying consumer trends and innovation across categories and is focused on delivering a strong business impact.
