
David Rusli turns numbers into narratives in his role as Chief Strategy Officer at Wavemaker. He discovered his passion for strategic communications when he worked at Unilever as Dove’s Assistant Brand Manager. This experience propelled him into agency roles, working with top-tier clients like General Motors, Microsoft, LVMH, and Kellogg's in global, regional, and local leadership positions in Toronto and New York City. Most recently, David served as Chief Strategy & Data Officer for Publicis Media in Canada, leading six critical divisions. His crowning achievement was spearheading the development and integration of Canada's identity solution into planning and activation processes. David's strategic vision centers on turning numbers into narratives — advocating for powerful yet simple solutions that transform brands by unleashing creativity and utilizing data. Throughout his career, David has contributed to work that has garnered multiple media innovation awards and Agency of the Year honors. Outside of work, he's an avid runner, dog owner, and co-founder of Superclub, a cultural ecosystem uniting BIPOC leaders to discuss often-taboo topics and their impact on leadership.
