London’s love ‘hot spots’ revealed on Valentine’s Lovemap | Mobile Marketing Association
February 15, 2013

London. 13 February 2013.  Londoners looking for love this Valentine’s Day should make their way straight to London Bridge, Bank or Oxford Circus, according to a new Lovemap that shows where the capital’s most active singles are: http://bit.ly/Ymabeg

·     The top five London love spots are: London Bridge, Bank, Liverpool Street, Oxford Circus and St. Paul's

·     There’s the least chance of finding love in All Saints, Mudchute, Rectory Road, South Bermondsey or Kilburn        High Road

·     The Lovemap can be easily accessed via mobiles – so singles can plan a night out on the go, based on where            they’re most likely to find love

·     Alternatively, Londoners looking for a last-minute Valentine can also get involved by tweeting   hashtag #LondonLoveMap and their location

Powered by online dating site Lovestruck and mobile agency Fetch, the Lovemap shows where single Londoners have ‘winked’ at others from their smartphones (a form of online flirting) on Lovestruck since the beginning of the year.

Brett Harding, MD and co-founder of Lovestruck, commented: “Valentine’s Day isn’t just for loved-up couples – it’s a great opportunity for single Londoners to meet their perfect love match. Our Lovemap should help show them where to head to help their chances.”

James Connelly, Co-Founder and Managing Director at Fetch, commented: “We wanted to create something fun, insightful and relevant to mobile around Valentine’s day. What better than a location-based analysis of Love in London. With more and more singles turning to their mobiles to access dating services, this project has been a real eye-opener! Not only is it based on data generated by smartphone interactions; the Lovemap is also easy to view on people’s mobiles on the go. Let’s hope we can create some more urban couples with a Valentine’s Day anniversary!”

No actual location data has been released within the activity – instead data has been clustered around the London tube stations nearest to those ‘winking’.
