As Group Creative Director and Head of Design at R/GA London, Lucio has been leading the Design Department since joining the London office in 2008, providing guidance and helping out building an exceptional design department serving across 14 industry leading global brands including, Nike, Beats by Dre, Unilever, O2, Aston Martin, Pearson, BNP Paribas, Nokia, BBC, Heineken and Google.
With more than 13 years of experience in graphic and interactive design, Lucio skill sets rely on exceptional understanding of human-computer interaction, typography, design direction and branding. Lucio believes that the only way to create true meaningful products is through a honest and well-crafted design approach.
Before joining R/GA, Lucio served as creative director at Framfab, Denmark from 2007 to 2008. He was the lead creative on Nike Women and NIKEiD for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. Prior to that, Rufo worked at F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi from 2004 to 2006, as Art director on a variety of accounts including Nike, Skol Beer, Campana Brothers, Unibanco, Petrobras, and Toyota.
Throughout the years, Lucio has earned numerous honors at the most prestigious industry award shows, including Communication Arts, One Show Interactive, Cannes Cyber Lions, London International Awards, D&AD Awards, and CLIO Awards, from helping Aston Martin redefine beauty and performance to going beyond the scoreboard with BNP Paribas We are Tennis, from taking over Times Square with Beats by Dre #ShowYourColor to Design Beats Music.
