Janani is a seasoned marketing professional who has worked across various industries of Automobile, Telecom and FMCG. She is currently the Head of category and brand marketing for the Notebooks portfolio in the stationery division of ITC and is responsible for managing brands Classmate and Paperkraft of consumer spends of 2000+ Crs. She is responsible for Premiumization and Innovation in the space of education and learning for the business.

She is also leading the digitization efforts in ITC and has constructed the services and e-commerce portfolio through growth of D2C business, building alternate sources of revenue through a learning based App and has also built and scaled the Mangaldeep devotional App to a subscriber base of 1 Mn users. In ITC she has also spearheaded the growth by tripling the revenues and brand equity of the portfolio of Mangaldeep Agarbattis & Dhoop.

Prior to this, she had been associated with some marquee companies such as the Mahindra Group where she managed the company's motorcycle portfolio as a brand manager. She has worked on NPD & innovation launching first of its kind motorcycles both in the commuter and performance segment. She has also worked as a Senior Marketing Manager building consumer propositions for the mass & rural segments within Vodafone. She has built and scaled content led - award winning telco products for the farmer and women consumer segments. She has represented India in global cross functional teams for cross - cultural learning and implementation of segment marketing principles for Vodafone India.

She has pursued her MBA in International Business from IIFT (batch of 2009-11)
