Gail Tifford is the Vice President of Media and Digital Engagement for Unilever in North America where she is responsible for leading media strategy and implementation across the paid, owned and earned ecosystem for all Unilever categories and brands. In addition, she is also a member of the Unilever Global Media Leadership Team and in this capacity, she oversees Unilever’s global new media vision and strategy as well as works closely with the Unilever Ventures team to seek out new digital investment opportunities.  Gail is passionate about empowering women and is the Co-Founder and Executive Sponsor of GALvanize@ Unilever Women’s Network.

Previously, Gail was Vice President, Strategic Partnerships at Viacom, where she worked with an array of leading marketers in the development of multi-platform media and marketing programs for the MTV and VH1 brands.

Earlier in her career, Gail spent more than 10 years at Unilever working across many different brands in a variety of marketing roles. As Brand Development Director for Beverages, she was responsible for long-term strategy, including innovation and communication for the Lipton brand in North America.  Prior to that role, she was the Director of Marketing Excellence, responsible for cultivating superior talent and helping to build a growth-centric organizational culture across the Marketing function.

Gail is a member of the MAKERS@ Board of Directors.  She is a Corporate Advisory Member for the GRAMMY Foundation and on the board for the International Radio and Television Society (IRTS) Foundation.  She is also a founding member of the BUILD NYC Local Advisory Board and on the Board of Tufts Hillel at Tufts University.

Gail was recognized as Working Mother of the Year by the Advertising Women of New York in 2013.

Gail received her B.A. from Tufts University and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.

Gail lives in Connecticut with her husband and two children.
