Mr Bui Huy Nam (born 1977) is a Vietnamese businessman who has served as CEO of VTVcab since 2018.
After graduating from Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 1999, he started his career at Vietnam Television (VTV) and held numerous positions in Art & Design, Customer Service and IT Department before leaving the company in 2009.
Nam took the role of CTO in K+, a joint venture between VTV and Canal Overseas that offers Vietnamese satellite television. K+ has been successful in enriching the Vietnamese television landscape with premium pay-TV channels.
In July 2012, soon after Vietnam Cable Television (VTVcab) had been established, Nam returned to VTVcab as a Vice CEO. He is the youngest CEO in range of Cable Television in Vietnam at the age of 40. Nam was credited with scaling the company's systems and service to keep up with accelerating demand. VTVcab is a leading provider of cable TV, internet, OTT, and radio services in Vietnam. It directly serves 2.5 million household subscribers and transmits content to over 20 million household subscribers in the Vietnamese market.
Nam is described as a peaceful man who enjoy learning new things. He is also a respected mentor for the young generations, inspiring them to think broadly.
