With a career spanning over three decades and five continents, in sectors like FMCG, Retail, Entertainment, Media & Beauty, Amit joined L'Oréal India in August 2018 as Managing Director. He is responsible for driving the company's growth, operations and people strategy across India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka & Nepal.

He started his journey as a Management Trainee at ICI India (now AkzoNobel India) where he managed a diverse set of responsibilities within sales & marketing. He subsequently served in business leadership roles with Coca-Cola & Viacom-MTV across Asia.

He returned to AkzoNobel as Managing Director, India for four years before being appointed Managing Director for the AkzoNobel Decorative Business for North & West Europe and Non-Executive Director on the Board of AkzoNobel India consequently.

The people focus at L'Oréal, along with its entrepreneurial cultural & ambition is what most resonates with Amit. This culture of collaborative effort and teamwork is something he is committed to driving in each organization he leads.

Amit has a Master's in Business Administration from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS); and has completed an Advanced Management Program from Wharton Business School.

He is a wildlife conversationalist and is an avid supporter of literacy for underprivileged children.
