Kasper Aakerlund is a respected industry executive, an insightful entrepreneur, and global leader with a distinguished career and track record, leading consultancy, advertising, media, mobile, digital, martech, and programmatic operations.

As President of UM APAC, Kasper champions the better science, better art, better outcomes proposition across 14 markets in the Asia-Pacific region; accelerating growth and integration by building a connected network and expanding the UM business in the industry. In 2019, UM APAC has seen over 80 new client wins, organic growth and market expansions, growth in talents, and specialized product offerings to generate growth in a smarter way.

With a strong operational background leading digital transformation across media organizations in Europe and Southeast Asia, Kasper first joined IPG Mediabrands as Hong Kong CEO in 2016. He began his advertising career in OMG Denmark and later moved to the role of Chief Digital Officer for Carat and Vizeum. Following a period leading boutique digital outfit Suddenly CPH, Kasper was appointed CEO at Isobar where he continued to advance to CEO and Head of Isobar Nordics. In 2014 Kasper he moved to Asia as COO and CDIO of GroupM Vietnam and Indonesia, where he oversaw two of the fastest-growing global markets with 850 advertising specialists. It was also during this time that Kasper served as co-chair of MMA in Vietnam.

Kasper is a regular speaker, judge and mentor in the advertising and communications industry. Personal achievements include winning APAC Agency Head of the Year at the 2019 Campaign Asia-Pacific Awards, as well as being appointed as juror at the prestigious Cannes Lions Festival 2019, Spikes Asia 2019, and Dubai Lynx 2019.
