Santhosh Mahendiran has more than 20 years of global experience with a focus on data, analytics and digital. Mr Mahendiran is responsible for “all things data” at Techcombank, from analytics, engineering and machine learning to governance, monetisation and data partnerships. He is a member of the bank’s executive team.

Until recently, Mr Mahendiran was working for Standard Chartered Bank, Singapore, as managing director and global head of digital foundation technology. At Standard Chartered he also served as the global head of analytics enablement and global head of enterprise data management; in these roles he was responsible for strategy, design, development and delivery of the enterprise data management platform for the whole bank. Prior to Standard Chartered, Mr Mahendiran held various senior leadership roles in Citibank, Singapore, including vice-president responsible for delivery, implementation and support of data warehouses in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region spanning 15 countries. In his last role at Citibank, he was head of the development team that pioneered the world’ first touch screen paperless on-boarding systems at Citibank, Japan. Mr Mahendiran holds double master’s degrees in computer applications and in software engineering from the National University of Singapore.
