Mobile web application developed by Netbiscuits adds to Eurex Trading Exam preparation material

Kaiserslautern, October 20, 2010 – Netbiscuits, the world’s leading cloud software service for cross-platform development, operation and management of mobile sites and apps, today announced the realization of a mobile learning portal to help users prepare for the trading examination of Eurex, one of the leading international derivatives exchanges. By visiting the mobile optimized websites http://mobileacademy.deutsche-boerse.com and http://m.eurexchange.com users can view the entire question catalogue and test their knowledge with an exam simulation. Netbiscuits developed the mLearning web application for Capital Markets Academy, the central advanced training institution of Deutsche Börse Group.

The mLearning solution enables a flexible and customized preparation for the exam using any web-enabled feature phone or smartphone. The material for the Eurex trading exam consists of 102 multiple choice questions. The mobile portal allows full access to the question catalogue, that may be grouped by topic, and provides instant answer-specific feedback. Moreover, budding traders can run a simulation of the Eurex Trading Exam, answering 34 randomly picked questions with a pass mark of 75%.

“It was crucial for us to have the mLearning application divide each section of the exam into short learning units which can be used, for example, while commuting in public transport or during lunch breaks. The challenge was to offer the question catalogue in a highly convenient way and adapted for every web-enabled device“, explains Michaela Kudlich, responsible for electronic and mobile learning at Capital Markets Academy. „In Netbiscuits we found the right partner for realizing this concept. Their platform ensures that our mobile learning web application is automatically optimized to the accessing device’s capabilities prior to delivery.”

„The Eurex Trading Exam mLearning portal shows, that mobile is not only changing today’s communication, entertainment, shopping, and publishing. It also creates new opportunities for education and training”, says Michael Neidhoefer, CEO of Netbiscuits. “We are very happy to serve the mobile learning program of Deutsche Börse.”

The Eurex Trading Exam mLearning portal is available in English and German language versions.
