STATE COLLEGE, Pa. March 28, 2012 – AccuWeather’s partners include the top 10 mobile handset manufacturers responsible for 85% of the devices shipped worldwide. In 2011 alone, the global distribution of AccuWeather mobile applications exceeded more than one quarter of a billion devices.

AccuWeather can be found on thousands of different device types and on multiple platforms globally, including the Apple iPhone, HTC Thunderbolt, Nokia N9, LG Thrill, Samsung Galaxy II, and the BlackBerry Torch. AccuWeather regularly updates its applications, including AccuWeather for iPhone updated in Q4 2011 to ensure compatibility with 4.x devices, AccuWeather for BlackBerry updated to ensure compatibility with 7.0 devices, and AccuWeather for Android which will update in Q1 2012 to include pushed severe weather alerts and other functionality.
