Amit’s career spans over three decades and three continents, in sectors like FMCG, Retail, Entertainment, Media & Beauty.

Most recently, Amit was Chairman and MD of L'Oréal India . The people centricity at L'Oréal, along with its entrepreneurial culture  & digital focus  is what most resonates with Amit.

Prior to that he served in business leadership roles with Coca-Cola & Viacom across India and Asia.

While at Viacom, he co- founded Viacom 18 which built a leading media & entertainment business , including Colors. Subsequently he moved to Singapore to lead Viacom Asia .

He returned to India in 2009 as Managing Director for AkzoNobel India before being appointed Managing Director for the AkzoNobel North & West Europe .

Amit serves as a Non-Executive Director on the Boards  of AkzoNobel India , Jubilant Foods and Sanofi CHC India . He also Chairs the board of MMA Global India .

Amit has a Master's in Business Administration from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS); and has completed an Advanced Management Program from Wharton Business School.

He supports wildlife conservation and literacy for underprivileged children.
