Samir leads all the marketing operations of the business. With over 18 years of experience in marketing, product development, sales and partnerships, he has played a pivotal role in the success of many, many campaigns and projects.
During his stint as a Business Lead for Star Sports - Regional, he was instrumental in launching regional sports channels, making the brand reach every nook and corner of the country. The move made Star Sports one of the largest and widest sports broadcasters in Asia. Also, as a head of marketing for the channel's Football portfolio, he was instrumental in launching and managing 3 seasons of the Hero Indian Super League.
Samir had also been the Head of Brand for Star Plus. By working on game-changers like Satyameva Jayate, IPL, LC1 etc., he played a significant role in reinstalling the channel as No.1 GEC of the country.
Early in his career, Samir had led brand, direct marketing and product functions at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance and Aditya Birla Capital.
An alumnus of NMIMS and a Physics graduate from the University of Mumbai, Samir is extremely fond of travel. He is also an avid collector of single malt whisky and gin bottles and loves binging on Netflix.
