Inmar Partnership with Modavox’s Augme Mobile Enables Innovative Mobile Campaign for Breast Cancer Contributions

(October 30, 2009) WINSTON-SALEM, NC – Inmar, the nation’s leading promotions transaction settlement provider, today announced that its collaboration with mobile platform provider, Augme Mobile – a division of Modavox, Inc., now enables consumer-directed rebate charity promotions.

Natural chicken producer Springer Mountain Farms currently uses this capability for its “Scan to Save a Life” program promoting The National Breast Cancer Foundation.  This program features a 2D barcode on each product package that can be scanned as a rebate proof of purchase.  Instructions for SMS entries are also included.  Consumers can then choose to have a rebate deposited in an electronic consumer account, such as Obopay or PayPal, or they can donate the funds directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

“Being convenient and green, our mobile rewards program has been a huge hit with our consumers this year,” said Dale Faunce, Marketing Manager of Springer Mountain Farms.  “Adding such a worthy cause to the range of options was a natural fit for our brand.”

Started earlier this year, the program has offered other mobile-based rewards to consumers, including video and music downloads and paperless rebates.  This effort leverages Inmar’s digital promotions settlement platform (called Conexions℠) and the Augme Mobile AD+LIFESM mobile marketing platform.

“Mobile marketing holds a lot of promise for brands that get it right at retail,” said Susan Jones, Vice President of Business Development for Inmar.  “And a mobile-based promotion like the one Springer Mountain Farms runs puts an attractive offer in consumers’ hands without the challenges of costly retail point-of-sale enhancements.”

The implementation of the Springer Mountain Farm promotion represents a host of new digital promotions capabilities available for brands to launch regionally and nationally.
“These mobile promotions are no longer constrained by point-of-sale integration or retailer loyalty programs,” said Anthony Iacovone, Chief Innovation Officer of Augme Mobile.  “Brands now have the tools and freedom to run national mobile campaigns across all kinds of retailers.”
