Four-part series covers QR Code technology and how to achieve highest ROI for every campaign

LONG BEACH, Calif. (June 1, 2011) — DENSO announced that VitreoQR, the principal North American distributor for DENSO QR Code® software solutions, will present a four-part webinar series on the essentials of QR Code technology. The webinars will explore ISO compliance specifications, security of QR Code content, liability of URL shorteners, the ease and importance of mobile optimization, and how to employ analytics to measure the success of a campaign.

The QR Code is a two-dimensional barcode that can hold many times more information than one-dimensional barcodes. QR Codes are increasingly appearing in advertising as well as on signs, posters, business cards and a wide array of other items. By scanning a QR Code with a smart phone, consumers can be directed to a specific web page or receive targeted messages such as a special offer, discount coupon, product or store information, etc.

“We have been inundated with phone calls from people wanting to get credible and accurate information about how to use QR Code technology, what the best practices are, and how to create campaigns that are secure and successful,” said Michael Balas, founder and CEO of VitreoQR. “This webinar series is specifically designed to communicate the advantages of using specialized software when creating QR Codes to protect an organization from security breaches and deliver campaigns with concrete ROI. DENSO is the inventor of QR Codes, and since VitroQR is DENSO’s principal distributor in the U.S. and Canada, people are coming to us to learn about DENSO technology.”

“The webinars will cover the four cornerstones of a successful QR Code deployment,” added Dave Wickman, Co-Founder and CTO. “These cornerstones are QR Code compatibility; using URL shorteners; optimizing content for peak performance from a mobile device; and using statistics to compare campaigns for maximum success.”

The first of the four webinars will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 2 p.m. EST, and the remaining webinars will take place at the same time on the three succeeding Thursdays, June 9, June 16 and June 23. For more information, visit www.vitreoqr.com/webinar.php.
