Financial services worldwide are facing tough market conditions.
Attracting and retaining customers is no longer just about whatbanks offer. But how banks offer it.
Mobile advertising remains one of the most exciting developments in the
mobile market today and one which opens the door for marketers to
target their customers and prospects more directly through an entirely
new channel. The rise of mobile as a means of advertising supports the
ongoing shift of ad budgets from traditional marketing media, such as
TV and radio, to more direct “below the line” forms, such as direct
mail, E-mail and the Internet.
One of the major talking points this year at Mobile World Congress was
how Western consumers’ mobile phone usage patterns are shifting from
text and voice, to data. Mobile internet, mobile applications, email
and location-based services are no longer just add-on services, but a
core part of many operators’ and handset manufacturers’ strategies.
This shift has been evident in recent announcements from some of the
biggest players in the mobile industry.
