MMA Announces Jury Panel for its Smarties™ 2015 EMEA and UK Awards

Advertising and marketing leaders from R/GA, JWT, Ogilvy One, Mr. Lama Studios, BP, Nike, Heineken®, Starcom Mediavest and Zenith Optimedia come together to judge this year’s Mobile Marketing Association’s (MMA’s) Smarties™ Awards for EMEA & UK
 
London – July 21, 2015 – The Mobile Marketing Association (MMA), the world’s leading global non-profit trade association, comprised of more than 800 member companies, is delighted to announce the EMEA & UK Smarties™ Jury for their Annual Smarties awards program. The EMEA and UK MMA Smarties™ Awards is part of the MMA Global Smarties™ series, the only global mobile marketing awards where talents are judged based on creative, strategy, execution, and results. The Smarties™ honours innovation, creativity and success, recognising the teams that push boundaries and explore the limits of mobile marketing. This year’s jury panel includes an impressive list of over a dozen brand marketers and agency leaders drawn from the world of marketing, media, creative and mobile marketing.
 
This year the Jury will have joint chairs - industry guru and R/GA London’s Integrated VP Executive Creative Director, Rodrigo Sobral and Firat Ertem, Mobile expert and founder of Mr. Lama Studios based in Istanbul. “I’m extremely excited to be the Co-Chair for this year’s MMA Smarties Awards. At R/GA we’re always looking to innovate and transform the way people interact with brands via technology, so it’s a natural fit for us to collaborate so closely with the MMA – one of the benchmarks in the mobile industry,” said Rodrigo from R/GA.
 
Co-Chair, Firat Ertem commented, “After completing 15 years in mobile creativity, and working with many national and international brands, I believe we have finally reached a point where mobile marketing is an inevitable and undeniable part of the marketing and media mix. Not only do we need to acknowledge Mobile Marketing and its “Creativity" to carry on the growth of the industry but also we have to praise the courageous and effective cases done by brands, operators, publishers, networks and my fellow agency employees”.

This Annual Smarties™ Awards program showcases the best of the best in mobile marketing from EMEA and the UK recognising those that have created new benchmarks and engaged consumers in a way that is only possible through mobile.
 
All entries are first evaluated by the Smarties™ Pre-Screening Council; comprised of more than 100 senior-level mobile marketers. The Council then determines an elite short list, which will then be judged by the EMEA & UK Smarties Jury in an all-day session in London on August 17th.
