Mobile Marketing Association: VP- Research & Metrics (New York)
Position Purpose
The VP – Research & Metrics is responsible for leading the development, execution, and marketing of the Association’s research and metrics initiatives. And through collaboration with Association Committees, the VP – Research & Metrics will productize mobile marketing initiatives to incorporate initiative-related performance measurement and metric programs.
The Association’s goal is to become a resource for its membership on the health and market dynamics for the mobile marketing and advertising industry worldwide and this role will be key to fulfilling this objective.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities

Establishes and manages product portfolio and partnerships relative to market research, measurement and metric programs.

Leads the creation and ongoing management of P&L for areas of responsibility.

Works collaboratively with the marketing team to develop and deliver external marketing materials/programs: collateral, presentations, case studies, and whitepapers.

Leads the Association’s Annual global Attitude & Usage study including survey definition, in concert with committee team, research partner coordination as well as new category/concept definition.

Leads the Association’s initiatives for mobile advertising measurement including ad currency definitions, cross media optimization studies, etc.

Identifies, develops and launches of additional global research priorities and objectives on behalf of the Association and its membership.

Leads research initiatives to ensure projects are on schedule and on budget.

Leads RFP/RFQ development and creation – as well as ongoing vendor selection.

Selects, engages with and manages relationships with external research partners and vendors.

Develops and reports on key industry statistics. Monitors and provides member communication on industry developments.

Productizes output for member and non-member organizations.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field required. MBA preferred.

7+ years of marketing-related experience. Marketing experience should ideally be multi-disciplined and include: product marketing, primary & secondary research, and competitive analysis.

Minimum three (3) years experience in evaluating or launching research initiatives as part of broader product/services portfolio.

Experience/knowledge of media research across multiple channels helpful including mobile, interactive, television, radio, etc.

Candidate should have demonstrable success in developing and executing strategy.

Significant experience leading, scoping and managing research projects required.

Demonstrated ability to organize and work in partnership teams with cross-functional organizations.

Ability to prepare proposals, scopes of work and research design criteria.

Prior experience with measurement and currencies initiatives in another media channel preferred.

Prior experience in the mobile industry desired.
Travel or Other Requirements
